Privacy Policy

Dice AI is built with privacy as a starting point, not an afterthought. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

Dice AI does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no advertising. Almost everything the app does happens entirely on your device.

What stays on your device

Your games belong to you. All of the following is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:

  • Your characters, including their names, modifiers, and aliases
  • Your sessions and campaign details
  • Your roll history
  • Your settings, such as themes, haptics, sound, and voice preferences
  • Your purchase state for the one-time Pro Unlock

If you delete the app, this information is removed with it.

What we do not collect

  • No analytics. We do not measure how you use the app.
  • No tracking. We do not build a profile of you or follow you across other apps or sites.
  • No advertising. The app shows no ads and works with no ad networks.
  • No account. You never sign up, and you never give us an email address to use the app.

Chat Mode and optional AI assistance

Chat Mode reads what you type and works offline first, so the vast majority of rolls are worked out on your device and nothing leaves it.

If you choose to turn on AI assistance for requests the app cannot interpret on its own, then, only for those requests, the text you typed is sent securely to our dice parsing service so it can be understood and turned into a roll. When this happens:

  • Only the text of that request is sent. Your characters, sessions, and roll history are not.
  • The request is used only to return a roll. It is not used to identify you and is not sold.
  • This never happens unless you have turned the feature on yourself.

If you leave AI assistance off, no roll text ever leaves your device.

Voice input

If you use voice input, your speech is turned into text on your device. The audio itself never leaves your device. The resulting text is then handled exactly like anything else you type.

Purchases

Dice AI offers a single one-time purchase, the Pro Unlock. Purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not see or store your name, card, or payment details. The stores tell the app whether you own the unlock, and that answer is checked on your device.

Third parties

Dice AI works with as few third parties as possible:

  • Apple and Google, for downloading the app and processing purchases, under their own privacy policies.
  • Our dice parsing service (hosted on Cloudflare), used only for the optional AI assistance described above, and only when you enable it.

We do not integrate any analytics, advertising, or social media tracking software.

Children

Dice AI is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Your choices

You are always in control:

  • Turn AI assistance and voice input on or off at any time in Settings.
  • Clear your roll history whenever you like.
  • Delete the app to remove all of your data from your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
